And here's a compilation of all the degrading commercial clips from Folgers of the 50's. Insane. My mother had to listen to this during daytime TV. I have a whole new respect for her.

Your mother watched daytime tv? How did she find the time? Surely she would have been better occupied trying to please her man.

Andrea, I noticed that too. oy. My parents saved the leftover coffee from the old percolator and heated it up in saucepan the next day and thought it was great. Good old immigrants, oblivious to most of that 50's American stuff.
